My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Simply Baku.
From the moment we arrived Marianne and her team made us most
welcome. We stayed in a spacious, comfortable, clean room,
decorated in the wonderful Mexican décor. It was on the second
floor overlooking the garden with a view towards the ocean. We found homemade guacamole dip in the fridge along with 4 very cold Coronas
to start out our visit. We highly recommend this very special accommodation that leaves you wanting to come back before you even leave.

That’s what we find ourselves saying each morning when we wake up at Simply Baku. It’s an oasis that we go back to year after year. Leaving the cold of MN for the warmth of Mexico and total relaxation is our goal and it’s easy to get there. Starting with watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee on our veranda, fishing from shore, watching whales play in the bay as we sit in the sun or the shade of a palapa. We love that we are in an authentic Mexican village. We don’t speak Spanish, but everyone is so helpful that we’ve never found language to be a barrier. We have little tiendas for groceries, great fresh fish salad from Columba to take home or the incredibly varied restaurants to eat at each night. We love Enriques, Street Tacos, wonderful local fare across from the church, the best ice cream ever right on the square and both restaurants right on the beach.

The pictures are absolutely accurate, but can't convey the true beauty of this incredible place! Marianne is like family to us and will do whatever possible to make your stay exactly what you are looking for.

We just returned from an amazing week at Casa Baku where we spent a week with 5 other couples at this gorgeous jewel of a resort that we had all to ourselves. Quiet beach front location in the quaint town of La Cruz where you can walk to some fantastic restaurants with live music and dancing, and a beautiful marina(check out the Sunday market there). We had chef Daniel come in for a romantic candle lit dinner on the beach with his own trio playing just for us( well ok, with 12 it noisy and fun!), massages by Sonia in our casitas, cool dips in our private pool or the ocean, a boat trip to snorkel, gorgeous sunrise and sunsets, long walks on the beach, need I go on? Marianne and Mike are very gracious hosts and everything at Casa Baku reflects their designer instincts and attention to detail.

Just came back from a wonderful 2 week stay at Simply Baku. When we booked the guesthouse at Simply Baku – like other reviewers – we thought the pictures looked almost too good to be true. But…it was in fact a true paradise! Right from the start our vacation exceeded our expectations with Marianne picking us up at the airport and bringing us home to great guacamole and cold cervesas! We had the privacy and seclusion we craved but also the ambience of La Cruz with its’ funky little bars, great places to eat and friendly people just a few blocks stroll away! Our guesthouse was stunning with its’ beautiful décor and every amenity we needed. Marianne and Mike are the perfect hosts – friendly - but never obtrusive. Their combined knowledge of the area provided us with wonderful suggestions that were always ‘bang on’! We will recommend Simply Baku to everyone!
