11 magical nights in the Casa Amanacer at Simply Baku over Christmas has ruined us forever by redefining what a romantic and peaceful getaway in paradise really can be! Imagine having your own private beach just steps away, and sleeping in as long as you want knowing that your chaise lounge is waiting for you. As other reviews mention, real life Baku simply takes one\'s breath away! Truth be told, our arrival literally brought tears to our eyes after spending many months looking at the website and reading other travellers\' reviews anticipating this special getaway.

Other delights include: access to a private (& very affordable!) chef and personalized menu, fresh guacamole & salsa made by housekeeping staff, whales & dolphins to watch, immaculate house and grounds keeping, very comfortable kingsize bed, excellent linens & towels, all located within a charming, safe little Mexican town out your back door. A good variety of restaurants ranging from community-style pubs to upscale (yet affordable) fine dining are short walks away. A cab or bus ride will offer access to Bucerias, Punta de Mita, Nuevo or Puerto Vallarta. The design of this resort including its small size, location and security features provided us with absolute peace of mind.

Marianne, the ultimate owner and concierge, ensured that all of our personal needs were met. We appreciated her warm and welcoming nature, and extensive knowledge of the area that enabled us to navigate and experience local and surrounding amenities. What a treat having groceries and beverages in the fridge just by emailing a list ahead of time, complete with personally selected wines by Marianne. Her hospitality continued throughout our stay by occasionally stopping by to see if we needed anything or to simply engage in conversation and laughter.

Just finished our 2nd visit to "Baku" and didn't think it was possible to be better than our lst visit - but it was! The quality and class of this wonderful getaway demonstrates a constant effort to maintain the exceptional quality of this unique resort! Each of the 4 bungalows has it's own feeling of privacy and the ocean breezes gently take you to that "baku" place where the stresses of work and the home routine simply drift away! I can't give a higher recommendation to "Simply Baku" - we are already planning our return visit!

Returning to Simply Baku for the second time but this time for 28 days began with Marianne, the owner picking us up at the airport. Marianne is the type of host who is like a friend, very helpful in arranging things but also very respectful of your privacy. The casita is thoroughly cleaned every day, not just a once over but shelves, floor and lourvres washed and dusted. I especially appreciated the fresh flowers put in the kitchen and bathroom. It was wonderful to be able to watch the waves, the whales, swim in the pool and really relax for that is what Simply Baku is all about.
