Wonderful first stay
I had a wonderful stay with Marianne at Simply Baku. I stayed on the top floor beach view casita and I shall definitely return to it. The vistas were amazing, with lovely breeze and of course the beautiful decor and great bed. Plus all the amenities. And excellent library. I appreciate the great website which kept me going until my actual trip. Marianne was a terrific host. Look forward to the next time.
Alone but certainly not lonely
For one week I was alone on the beach in a beautiful casita and cared for by the owner, Marianne. I found peace, quiet, wonderful restaurants nearby, craft market an easy walk away, and hospitality that was above and beyond any I ever received at the luxury hotels in Vallarta. Be sure to make time for a massage, or two!! They are wonderful. I returned home feeling renewed and looking forward to returning to beautiful Baku very soon.

We return to Simply Baku because it is the right combination of comfort, privacy, independence, service & location in a friendly laid-back town. First class accommodation without pretension. Sun, margaritas, salsa & guacamole. What more does one need?

Perfect Spot!
I stayed at Simply Baku for a week in March with my husband and daughter. We stayed in a beachfront casita, and my sister stayed in a beachview casita. Both were beautiful. Marianne has done such a fabulous job with these places. Gorgeous colors. All the amenities you could want. Lots of little touches to make things comfortable and beautiful. Great housekeeping and groundskeeping service. You can request that Ernesto cut you a fresh coconut to sip from. And the maids did things like hang my jewelry up, or find the perfect place for my shoes. Marianne is a fabulous hostess! She picked us up from the airport and stopped by our casita at some point each day to see how things were going. She set up a massage for me and a mani/pedi for my daughter for her birthday. Great view from the canopied bed straight to the beach and bay. Beach was quiet and felt almost private. Don't miss the fish market (daily) and the Sunday artisan's market. If you're a vegetarian, check out Octopus's Garden (caters a little to gringos, but food really was delicious). La Cruz is a great little town. Feels very authentically Mexican and not too touristy. Cobblestone streets. Dogs running along tin roofs. People out sweeping their sidewalks every morning. Friendly. We will definitely return to La Cruz and to Simply Baku!
