What a wonderful time we had at Simply Baku! Marianne is absolutely an amazing gracious host. Leaving nothing to chance, no detail left undone. From making reservations, transportation arrangements, recommendations for activities in and around LaCruz working with Marianne was a joy! Thank you Marianne for sharing your piece of paradise, making us feel so welcome. We enjoyed daily visits from Poncho, too. Celebrating my 60th birthday with my best girlfriend in such a special place makes for beyond compare memories. Our beachfront guesthouse was perfect, peaceful, and relaxing. I will definitely return to Simply Baku and next time stay longer.

We've taken many vacations over the years, in many countries, but Simply Baku proved to be the most peaceful and relaxing spot we've ever found. Marianne has created the most wonderful beach cottages, exquisitely designed with joyful colors and allowing the feel and sound of the ocean to be a part of the experience anywhere you are, inside or out. The architecture, workmanship and decor of the cottages is stunning and still completely in sync with the environment. Wherever you look you can't help but notice that every detail has been thought about and received the full attention of Marianne's wonderful sense of design. If you are looking for something quite luxurious but still embedded within the community, you owe it to yourself to take a look at the pictures of Baku - this is probably the only time in our experience of TripAdvisor and similar sites where we felt the reality was even better than the photos! We were at Baku at the end of March. By then, the ocean was already warm - ideal for bobbing in the waves. We loved the additional services available from fresh juices to guacamole, to dinner prepared at the cottage by a local chef. Wonderful food is available at many of the restaurants both in La Cruz and nearby in Bucerias. We left happy and relaxed and just wishing we had many more days to be there. We will go back. We were looking for a laid back and non-touristy vacation destination and were thrilled to find just that at Simply Baku. Beautiful, funky and immaculately clean casidas right on the beach were our focal point for a very relaxing week. Short excursions took us into Old Vallarta, great body surfing beaches, and a large and modern grocery store. Marianne looked after everything and was a delightful host. And I fell in love.... with Pancho the Surfing Dog. Hola!

When we found Simply Baku in 2007, we found a little slice of heaven! We've now been back four times and already booking our 5th visit for 2017! The peace and tranquility we find at Baku is unique and exceptional and has us coming back year after year! We continually meet wonderful people who are guests as well, and Marianne is the ultimate hostess, which complements the entire experience! The guesthouses are beautifully decorated and wonderfully maintained, and each time we come back, it's like reconnecting with the best part of ourselves! We are thankful each year, that the care and attention Marianne has to maintaining the high level of quality, welcomes us with open arms and we are never disappointed! Simply Baku is a special place in the world, with a special person that created it, and continues to keep it's special and exquisite magic!
